There is something different about fresh juice made at home.
You choose the fruit yourself, squeeze it when you need it and drink it immediately. During Kinnow season in Pakistan, fresh Kinnow juice is one of the easiest drinks to prepare.
You do not need a complicated recipe or a long list of ingredients.
What You Need
For a simple glass of Kinnow juice, you need:
- Fresh Kinnow
- A citrus juicer
- A glass
- Ice, if you prefer it chilled
Sugar is optional. Many people prefer drinking Kinnow juice without adding anything because the fruit already has its own sweetness and acidity.
Step 1: Wash the Kinnow
Before cutting the fruit, wash the Kinnow properly under clean running water.
Dry it with a clean towel.
Step 2: Cut the Fruit
Cut the Kinnow into halves.
If you are using a manual citrus juicer, you can squeeze each half directly.
Step 3: Squeeze Slowly
Press the fruit gently and allow the juice to collect.
Kinnow contains seeds, so you may want to strain the juice before serving.
Step 4: Taste Before Adding Anything
This is an important step.
Taste the juice first.
Depending on the fruit, it may already have the right balance of sweetness and tang. If you want it colder, simply add a few ice cubes.
Can You Keep Kinnow Juice for Later?
Fresh juice is generally best consumed soon after preparation.
If you need to store it briefly, keep it refrigerated in a clean, covered container.
However, making only as much as you plan to drink is the simplest option.
Which Kinnow Is Good for Juice?
Look for fresh, juicy fruit that feels reasonably heavy for its size.
Kinnow is popular for juicing because of its juicy segments and strong citrus flavor.
Make It Part of Your Winter Routine
Kinnow juice is simple enough to prepare before breakfast or as an afternoon drink.
